Amelia Haire

Amelia Haire is a Librarian and Information Professional with a Distinction-class Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from University College London. She currently works as a Librarian at QA Higher Education, where she designs and delivers information literacy teaching, supporting students in developing their research, evaluation, and academic writing skills.

Amelia has experience across academic, specialist, and public library settings, with a strong focus on inclusive, student-centred practice. Her work spans collection development, cataloguing, and digital support, alongside one-to-one and group teaching on referencing and academic integrity. She is particularly interested in how libraries can create accessible and empowering learning environments for diverse student communities.

She is a published author in the Journal of Information Literacy and has presented her research at conferences including LILAC and NLISN, where she has explored topics such as information literacy and inclusive library practice.

Amelia is passionate about the role of information professionals in supporting critical engagement with information, and is committed to promoting equitable access to knowledge within higher education and beyond.
