Shengnan Yang is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Information & Media Studies at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. She earned her Ph.D. from Indiana University Bloomington and her Bachelor's degree from Peking University in China. Her primary research interests lie in organizational transformation in the digital age and information governance, drawing from the theoretical foundations of social informatics. Her work is positioned at the intersection of technology use and organizational studies. Prior to her academic career, she worked as an IT consultant for Accenture Greater China. Shengnan has published in esteemed venues, including the Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, The Information Society, ACM Transactions on Human-Computer Interaction, and the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences.
