Dr. Sandra Toze is the Program Director for Information Programs, and Associate Professor, Department of Information Science, Faculty of Management, Dalhousie University. Her research examines how changes in the information landscape including social, mobile, analytics, cloud and automation affect how people find, interact, and use information to solve problems, and learn. Her research centres on three related themes: 1) the collaborative information and data processes of groups; 2) the shift to digital governance; and 3) user specific, social, and mobile information interactions. Her work has identified best practices for information processes within groups and the needs and capacity for digital skills within the Government of Canada. She is currently a primary investigator within the Transforming Climate Action project focussing on Transforming Climate Policy Making and Implementation. This work is examining municipal and local levels of government to better understand and recommend improvements to coastal climate policy decision processes. Contact: [email protected]
