Loida Garcia-Febo is an international library advocate, educator, and consultant whose work focuses on libraries, international policy, and librarians wellness. She teaches strategic foresight in the Library and Information Science program at the University of Puerto Rico, preparing information professionals to navigate social, technological, and geopolitical change. She is Chair of the American Library Association’s International Relations Committee, a member of the IFLA Governing Board, and Chair of IFLA’s Management of Library Associations Section. A former president of the American Library Association, she has advocated for libraries at the United Nations, the U.S. Congress, and the European Parliament.
